A member of the DLC’s original leadership team, Steve White joined the organization as Director of Administration and Finance in 2017 and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer. Coming to the DLC from the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources, Steve views efficient lighting as “the workhorse of energy efficiency and climate policy” and was drawn to the DLC by the opportunity to help expand efficient lighting’s role as a cost-effective clean energy and climate solution. With that top of mind, he facilitates the success of the DLC team through the tools of administration, finance, human resources, information technology, and legal affairs.

Steve is an avid champion of the people, places, organizations and ideas he believes in – whether it’s the DLC’s mission, his colleagues, or his community. He is involved in his hometown of Hull, Massachusetts – a seaside town with a view of the Boston skyline where he has served on the Planning Board, Economic Development Committee, Hull Boosters, and Youth Lacrosse Board. The father of four daughters, he also coaches youth lacrosse and basketball in Hull.

Joining his wife in raising four girls, volunteering in the community, and leading the administrative side of the DLC house doesn’t leave Steve much time for hobbies, but he has been known to take the occasional field trip to craft breweries around New England.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and a Master’s in Public Administration.
