The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in ripple effects across the global supply chain and, understandably, continues to cause challenges for manufacturers to produce products that meet the SSL V5.1 Technical Requirements. After conducting extensive outreach and having conversations with multiple manufacturers, we understand that manufacturers are experiencing component shortages of integrated circuit (IC) chips needed for electronics, including LED drivers, and that shipping delays have created higher costs and longer lead times for products.

Due to the continuing disruption to operations for our stakeholders, the DLC is extending the delisting date for products qualified under SSL V5.0 by six months. The new delisting date for V5.0 products will be June 30, 2022. Please reach out to us at info@designlights.org if you have any questions about how the date change may affect your programming or planning for 2022.

The DLC remains dedicated to our mission to enable energy optimization through quality and connected solutions for people and the environment. As a consortium, we also recognize that our success is collective and that the COVID-19 pandemic has presented continuing challenges for the lighting industry. We are committed to work with our stakeholders to balance future needs with current realities. If you have questions or would like to discuss the changes to the SSL V5.0 delisting date, please email us at info@designlights.org.
